SOUTH SHERIFF SUB STATION RENOVATION

DESCRIPTION
The Lake County Board of County Commissioners selected GatorSktch Architects, through a continuing service contract, for the renovation of an existing pre-engineered metal building, formerly a car dealership. The project consists of the renovation of an existing 15,726 SF building into the South Lake District Office of the Lake County Sheriff’s Department. The project will provide support areas for the Sheriff’s Department including a community services department, a patrol area, sex offender registration office, as well as a state-of-the-art detention area inclusive of four holding cells. The project also consists of various other interior and exterior modifications to the existing building, including the enclosure of the covered drive through, formerly a service department, into a secure vehicular sally port. The project is currently under construction, with an expected completion date of May 2010.

CONSTRUCTION COST
Construction budget of $1,044,000.
